“I can’t recommend Ceri enough as both a teacher and a coach in music production and the music industry in general.

I connected with Ceri originally for private sessions regarding demo feedback and launching my project. I learned a ton in these sessions and I’ve had some great success thus far, with my music recently appearing numerous times on BBC Radio 1, in Fjaak’s Essential Mix (before I had even had a release!), multiple Boiler Rooms, and DJ sets from many of my favourite artists at the moment, plus a top 10 release on Beatport this summer!

I also took her ‘Find Your Own Sound’ Music Production Course and was really impressed by the thorough yet simple structure of the course, and most importantly, the strategies and frameworks to actually FINISH tracks and not get stuck on various stages of the process, which was really insightful for me in my approach to production.

I already had a solid grasp of music production, but being self-taught you have a tendency to learn things in a very piecemeal and in-cohesive fashion. Ceri does a great job of distilling the essentials in a thorough and yet simple structure, to maximise your ability to create and finish tracks, whilst not getting bogged down in the various stages of the production process… I found the course to be super informative and relevant, regardless of where you fall in the spectrum of skill and experience in music production.

I joked once that working with Ceri is like ‘therapy for DJs and Producers’. She has definitely made me more inspired and confident in my approach with music production. Biggest up Ceri and thanks so much for your help in my music journey.”

“I knew how to make a loop and do a basic arrangement but I had never been at the level I wanted to be at for many years. Since Find Your Own Sound, my music has gone to a whole new level.

Not only have I had tracks signed and released, but I had a Number 1 Release on Beatport! Blown away with established artists adding my tracks on their podcasts and playlists.

I didn’t realise this would be achievable, as I don’t have a strong presence on social media. But it shows that if you put the effort into making your music better and more original, social media metrics don’t matter.”

From a creative loop to cross-continent collaboration

“The experience inside FYOS was very valuable. The masterclass in particular is amazing, I’ve watched it multiple times, and it genuinely helped get me out of a creative and technical loop I was stuck in for a while. The sessions around the music industry, and bringing in people who are actively working in promotion and the business side of music, were also incredibly insightful and offered perspectives that you don’t easily come across elsewhere.

The feedback you personally gave me on my tracks was extremely helpful too. It made me notice patterns and mistakes I was repeating over and over again without realizing, and that awareness alone has really improved my skills and how I approach production now.
